FATTORIA LA TRAIANA, Terranuova B.ni

On his return from a military campaign, the Emperor Trajan set up his camp here. Hence the origin of the name, La Traiana. As well as the ancient roots of its name, the Fattoria also preserves the procedures, practices and workmanship handed down over time, and now renewed by the Gigante family, owners of the Fattoria since the early 1960s. Set in the heart of Tuscany, on the slopes of Pratomagno, the Fattoria La Traiana is located within the district of the same name in the municipality of Terranuova Bracciolini, in a strategic position close to all the famous art cities and the motorway exit. 120 hectares of land, mostly at an altitude of 280 metres above sea level, with a favourable south, south-eastern exposure. In the centre are the nineteenth-century Villa, the chapel and two old farmhouse buildings. The latter have been carefully renovated, respecting the original structures and materials, and restored to new life to make up, along with the Villa itself, a delightful rural holiday centre.
