PARENTESI QUADRA, Quarrata

Passion that together with the expert hands of our craftsmen has its origin in a land that inspired the great masters of the Renaissance: Tuscany. In the land where we live and work, in 1887 Countess Gabriella Rasponi Spalletti founded a school for embroidery ”filet” created to give a prospect of emancipation to women and a more prosperous and economic future to families of this area that lived mainly of agriculture. At the beginning the school was composed of 5 women only but after two years they were already 50 and in 1904 they were over 400. This school won awards in several international exhibitions and also my great- grandmother Gioconda was part of it and she handed down us this passion to build objects for the decoration of the house.
