History, tradition, culture, art, the strong sense of identity and pride of the people. These are the ingredients that make the Sienese hills unique and magical show. A refined quality of the ingredients, ancient knowledge and craftsmanship are the secret ingredients that have given rise to unique, original beers, each with its own distinctive character. The brewery was founded in 2005 by the work of Moreno Ercolani and is based in an old farmhouse dating back to 1930, in the Val d’Orcia Natural Park, in an area once used as a stable. This place is not only the home of the brewery: it is the real soul of the beers that are produced, strongly linked and inspired by Val d’Orcia. In 2009, Olmaia left Chianciano to move few kilometers from Montepulciano.
Olmaia beers are hand-crafted without compromises, neither filtered nor pasteurized and carefully fermented in bottle to allow all enthusiasts to enjoy an high quality, pure and natural beer.
