The Baracchi Estate is located on a beautiful hill with a wonderful view of the Valdichiana Valley, Under the Tuscan Sun. Riccardo strongly desired to join the world of hospitality, good cuisine and wellness with the production of great wines linked by energy and passion to continue the family tradition of grape growing and grape-growing, which began in 1860, adding now a modern and high quality character. Riccardo and Benedetto with the oenologist Stefano Chioccioli which from the begin has collaborated to realize a modern and dynamic farm. An invitation to taste the evolution of an ancient family tradition. The Baracchi Estate covers about 60 hectares of land, 22 of which are planted with vineyards. These are divided in small plots: San Martino where the winery is located, Gabbiano between Cortona and Montepulciano and Motanare all of them at about 300metersin altitude with a southern exposure. With the support of the agronomist Stefano Chioccioli who selected and identified the best terroir for each variety, with the aim to achieving the highest quality and elegance of the wines.
San Martino with sandy and well drained soil there was planted mainly Syrah and Sangiovese: produces wines of great elegance and harmony; Gabbiano with its clayey-calcareous soil ideal for Cabernet and Syrah, produces wines of great structure and power; and finally, the vineyards of Montanare with soil composed of stones and lime ideal to grow Merlot and Trebbiano, here, at the top at the edge of a forest Riccardo has launched great challenge: to plant Pinot Noir.
